The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” – Revelation 11:15

There is a difference between the Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world. There have different values, belief systems and attitudes. In short, they have different cultures.

The call to follow Jesus is a call to be counter-cultural! It is also a call to be a cross-cultural missionary! At HRock we want to encourage and incubate a “kingdom of heaven” culture. As it is in heaven, so we want to see it on earth… like Jesus taught us to pray!

We have identified five different aspects of kingdom culture that help us in this. They are the kingdom cultures of:

  • Love & Honor,
  • Generosity,
  • Family,
  • Service,
  • and the Apostolic & Prophetic cultures.

These are not all encompassing, but they significantly impact the way we think about being and doing church as we proclaim and enact God’s Kingdom.

In this short series we will dip our toes into what these cultures look like.

If you want to engage with us more fully, then why not join our Kingdom Culture classes, which will be running every Sunday in November. Whether you are new at HRock or have been here a while, they are a great way to orientate yourself to our Kingdom Culture and values.
