Family Blessings

I want to introduce you to my new grandson, Caleb Judah Ngu! Born to my daughter Joy and my son-in-law Kuoching, Caleb arrived at 9:55 PM last Saturday, at 5 lbs. 13 oz. and 18.5 inches long. He’s a perfect boy! And I’m a happy grandfather!

When I look at my family, I can say with certainty that God has blessed me abundantly!

For me, success is to know God and to have a family that loves me and is happy. I am blessed to have been married to Sue, my bride and best friend for more than 35 years. I also see God’s blessings in the lives of my four adult children and their godly spouses—along with four beautiful grandkids, including Caleb and another baby who will be born any day now!

Family is truly at the heart of God’s blessings.

I give God all the glory for how He has showered His blessings over my family and over me. And I am thankful that I have been able to live the reality of the title of my newly released book: God Wants to Bless You!

Today I’m going to give you a little taste of my new book with the hope that you’ll find yourself walking closer to God and living the abundant life He has destined you for!

God’s Nature Is to Bless

As I travel the world, I constantly meet Christians who understand that God does indeed bless them but who show little evidence of that blessing in their lives. In honest and intimate conversation, many tell me that they have listened to many teachings about blessing, but they feel unworthy to be blessed.

Without realizing it, these souls have put conditions on God’s blessings. They’ve failed to understand the unconditional love of our Father God, who desires to bless them more than they desire to be blessed.

We must not confuse our actions with God’s nature. Nothing we do or fail to do can change the fact that Abba God desires to bless us. It is His nature to do so!

Ephesians 1:3 tells us,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

Every blessing in the heavenly realms God has already given to each believer, based on the greatest event in history: the death and resurrection of Jesus. But our job is to pull it down to earth by faith. I wrote God Wants to Bless You! to encourage you to boldly step forward, decree God’s blessing over yourself and others and learn to wear God’s blessing well.

Blessings & Breakthrough

In my book I include the Ten Decrees of Blessing that I was first inspired to pronounce over my local church, HRock Church, and also over our network of churches, Harvest International Ministry (HIM), in 2014. The response from our church members was incredible, as many started to experience breakthrough in their lives.

Increasingly, I am learning that a certain kind of power is released in a decree that is not present in merely a teaching about blessing. I believe that these decrees included in God Wants to Bless You! will change your life and that you, too, will receive significant breakthrough as you speak them over your life.

Get ready to receive extreme blessings!

See You Soon

On Wednesday this week I’m excited to join my friends at Rock Creek Church in Portland, Oregon, as HIM is putting on its very first Regional Conference! Then Thursday to Saturday, July 23 to 25, I’ll be at another HIM conference in Huntsville, Ala., celebrating The Dwelling Place‘s 10th Anniversary!

Be on the lookout for my blog next week, but until then… God bless you and keep you!

With Love,
