How good it is to be home! After two weeks on the road, there’s nothing better than to be welcomed home by my beautiful wife, outstanding children and adorable grandkids!
When I was at Solomon’s Porch in Hong Kong, the Lord showed Himself ever faithful to His promises, as many received healing and miracles in their bodies! I never get tired of seeing His Kingdom come to earth and meet the needs of His children!
Today I want to share a little bit from my new book, God Wants to Bless You!, about a biblical understanding of divine healing.
A Kingdom Paradigm Shift
As part of the Ten Decrees of Blessing that I include in my book,
I decree a blessing over you that God will heal you physically, that you will walk in divine health and that God will use you to heal others.”
Scripture makes it clear that God wants healing to mark every believer’s life as a part of His abundant blessings.
Jesus began His ministry by preaching, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4:17). Though the word repent does carry the meaning of turning from your sins, literally it means to change one’s mind or think differently (from the Greek word metanoeo). Today we would call it a paradigm shift.
God’s Kingdom isn’t reserved for some day far in the future; the Kingdom of heaven that Jesus preached is something you can experience now.
The Lord’s Prayer that we have been praying for two thousand years supports this truth:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” ~ Matt. 6:9–10
Why is it important that we receive healing from God? Because in heaven there is no one who is sick, demonized or depressed. That is God’s will for you on earth. And that is why, after telling His followers that the Kingdom of heaven is at hand, Jesus goes out to heal the sick and cast out demons—freeing people from “all kinds of sickness and disease” (Matt. 4:23-24)!
Blessing Others by Healing the Sick
As a leader in the Church, one of my greatest joys is to see God raise up an army of His children to be a blessing to others, especially by healing the sick and moving in signs and wonders.
This is Jesus’ commission to you:
Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature… And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” ~ Mark 16:15-18
If you are a follower of Christ, the Bible says you can do all these things. Just believe and act on His Word!
