Over the weekend I stopped by Rhode Island and spoke at New Dimension Church as I was hosted by HIM pastor Theresa Goode. The Lord showed up in a really powerful way. Praise God for His goodness and faithfulness to always bring freedom and life to His children!

At the end of this week I’ll be heading to Canada and speaking at the Pursuit Conference 2015 on Nov. 13-14. I’m planning to join a group of amazing ministers and worship leaders—like Antonio Baldovinos, Todd White, Rick Pino and Jeremy Riddle—at the Cypress Centre in Medicine Hat, Alberta. All those who are up north, come dive into this passionate pursuit of Jesus and expect the supernatural!

One of the best pieces of advice I have read for being a good financial steward is from revivalist and reformer John Wesley:

Make as much as you can, save as much as you can and give as much as you can.”

My wife, Sue, and I have done our best to live that out in our 36-plus years of marriage. Our foundation for personal prosperity has been built by applying biblical principles concerning finances. These principles have become our values—part of our DNA. And I want to share them with you.

Some of our values based on the Word:

1. The Value of Tithing:

‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try Me now in this,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,’ says the LORD of hosts; And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,’ says the LORD of hosts.”

– Mal. 3:10-12

2. The Value of Savings

Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.” – Prov. 13:11

3. The Value of Giving to the Poor

All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.”
– Gal. 2:10

In my first message in the Ancient Pathways To Financial Success Series, I shared some practical advice based on the Word of God about how to be a prosperous steward of your finances.

Here is a highlight from that message:
