At HRock Church, we are excited and expectant for 2017. The New Year is an opportunity to renew our minds with the mind of Christ (Romans 12:2), to recommit our time and devotion to Jesus, and re-envision the glorious purpose to which God has called us. Here are some New Year’s Resolutions from your HRock Church family, created to help all of us thrive in Christ and advance the Kingdom of God together!

1. Love More.

In 2017, we want to love others even more, with the humility, kindness, patience, and affection of Jesus.

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

2. Give with joy.

We want to give joyfully and generously in the coming year, knowing that God is faithful to bless us and provide for us.

It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35)

3. Intercede for others.

We resolve to pray faithfully for the lost, the hurting, and the broken, knowing that our prayers are powerful!

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16, NLT)

4. Listen for His voice.

God is speaking! In 2017, we want to spend more time in His presence, listening for His voice.

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21)

5. Speak words of life.

We resolve to always use our words for praise, thanksgiving, blessing, and encouragement in the coming year.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. (Proverbs 18:21)

6. Give thanks and praise.

In 2017, we want to cultivate a heart of worship in all circumstances. Gratitude is so powerful – we want to express it in the words we speak, the songs we sing, and the attitudes we choose.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)

7. Get into the Word.

We want to dig deeper in the Bible, and prepare our hearts for greater levels of revelation that leads to transformation.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:5)

8. Stay hungry for revival.

Let’s stay hungry for revival in our homes, our workplaces, our schools, and our cities, as we press into prayer for our family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (Matthew 5:6)

9. Get inspired.

We want to feed ourselves with testimonies of God’s goodness and power, igniting our faith for the miracles He wants to do in our own lives!

For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:10)

10. Pursue purpose.

God has designed each of us for a unique purpose, to bring His glory and His good news to the world around us. In 2017, we’re running hard after our destinies, starting off at the Prophetic Destiny Conference, January 13-16. Join us for 4 days of presence-filled inspiration, worship, and prophetic impartation with speakers including Ché Ahn, Gabe Ahn, and Kris Vallotton of Bethel Church, and more!

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8:30

We are so thankful for you! As we look back on 2016, we testify of God’s goodness, power, and love, and worship Him for who He is and what He has done. Thank you for being a part of our family- you are so loved!
