These past few weeks have been such a blessing from the Lord, as I have had the privilege and opportunity of ministering alongside close friends and longtime partners for the Gospel—all over the world!

HIM Australia

From September 21-23, we gathered in Brisbane, Australia for our annual HIM (Harvest International Ministry) Australia conference. I attend this conference every year, as it is a priority of mine to reconnect with those I have commissioned and fathered in the HIM movement. HIM was created to fulfill the Great Commission, when Jesus said:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

It is my heart to fulfill the Great Commission through strategic partnership and unity. Coming together face-to-face with apostles we are aligned with all over the world is a great encouragement to me and testimony to unity in the Body.

Royree and David Jensen are our HIM Australia apostles, along with two other international apostles—Bruce Lindley and Catherine Ruonala, with whom I am personally aligned. Royree and David have a powerful influence in this region of the world, as they have served as missionaries in Papua New Guinea and now play a very strategic role throughout the Pacific Islands, as well as in India, where they head up a Children’s Home.

The HIM family is growing! We commissioned around 20 new apostles who are aligned with Royree to plant churches, change lives and disciple their cities and nations. We have also added new HIM churches in Fiji and Papua New Guinea, and we are excited and expectant to see how God will move through those who are advancing the Kingdom there.

It was wonderful to reconnect with Chuck Pierce, who is like a brother to me. Chuck is a prophet to the nations, and has a gift for discerning the times and seasons we are in. His voice is a powerful gift to the Body of Christ all over the world. Chuck and I are deeply aligned, as we have both had the privilege of having Peter Wagner as a spiritual father. It is our heart to sustain and build Peter’s legacy.

Pray for Peter

Many of you know that Peter Wagner, who is a great apostle, leader and spiritual father to many, has had a tremendous influence on not only myself but on our movement as a whole. Please pray for him, as he has been admitted to Baylor Hospital in Texas. Earlier this year, he had a heart and lung surgery, and we are believing for a full recovery from this surgery. Peter is 86 years old, but I believe that God has more for him to do before going home to be with the Lord.

The HIM Australia conference was an amazing time of re-connecting with friends and partners in ministry, testifying to the power of God in the nations and growing the HIM family.

When Heaven Invades Conference in Indonesia

After Australia, I traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia, where I ministered with Bill and Beni Johnson and Shawn Bolz at the Heaven Invades Conference at the Christ Cathedral, pastored by my dear friend Billy Sindoro. Although many are still unreached in Indonesia, it is amazing to see how God is moving in this nation, as many thousands are coming to Christ.

The pre-registration was set at 1,500, but during the evening meetings (which were free), 3,000 showed up to encounter God and hear the Word! Thankfully, Christ Cathedral has a large capacity, as it is one of the most beautiful and modern church buildings in the country. Indonesians are hungry for the glory of God—we had an amazing time in His presence!

Spoke to over 5000 in two services in Indonesia. Hundreds came forward at the altar call!

One wonderful testimony from the conference was a divine appointment with Nelly Gan, who is a sister in Christ and marketplace apostle commissioned by Peter Wagner and Chuck Pierce. Nelly came to the conference to speak to me personally about starting a Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI) for businesspeople in Indonesia, which Peter has asked her to do. What she didn’t know was that the Lord had already spoken to me personally about her being aligned with HIM and involved with WLI. It was a significant confirmation to meet with her, and to see HIM continue to expand. God is good!

Final Stop in Bali

After the Heaven Invades Conference, I flew to Bali where I met with Sue for a mini-vacation. We are spending time with our dear Indonesian friends Peter and Evy Sondakh. It is such a blessing to get some rest and refreshment in this beautiful nation, and to reflect on how I have seen God move in power just over these past two weeks. I am reminded of Psalm 117:

Praise the Lord, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Praise the Lord.

Truly, the nations are praising God!

With my best friend in Bali.

go deeper

The Great Commission is the heart and purpose of my international travel and ministry. Here are some books and compilations written by men and women who are dear friends of mine, reformers and apostles who are advancing the Kingdom the world over!

  • Amazed by the Power of God includes testimonies from Bill Johnson, Randy Clark and others. This book will stir your faith and deepen your hunger!
  • I compiled The Reformer’s Pledge to help ignite your calling as a reformer and revivalist. It includes writing from Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce and Cindy Jacobs.
  • Peter Wagner wrote This Changes Everything about the transformation and renewal of our minds and perspectives so that we can step out in faith.
